Following on from our trial outings with the fantastic Britcar team in 2020, competitors can again enjoy the endurance racing in Clio Class within the Britcar Trophy Races which caters for road car based saloon and sports cars.
The series features a qualifying and 2 x 50 minute race format for single or two driver teams on some of the best circuits in the UK, all in one day .... It’s not for the fainthearted !
The pit stops add great drama to the event and really involve the whole team in the strategy to win a race.
There is a unique class especially for Clio Race & Road Series cars, but drivers also qualify for overall race and Trophy Category awards to add extra spice.
Endurance racing offers bumper grids of up to 40 cars, so there is never a dull lap and cars to race against for all abilities novice and time seasoned professional alike.
We have proved the Clio to be ultra competitive in the Britcar Trophy almost winning the Brands Hatch race overall at the hands James Colburn in the Clio’s first outing.
We think the Clio will be the ‘weapon of choice’ to run at the front of the series, both in terms of outright performance and most importantly the legendary reliability of the Clio brand. We are confident that the majority of factory built race Clios currently run in track day championships will comply without further modifications.
The Britcar Clio Class also offers an excellent starting point with the entry level Road Series Clio. Based on a standard road car and modified using a controlled set of parts for safety and performance, it offers a cost effective but agile entry into competitive motorsport.
